ps- i just finished it. anyone else unsatisfied with the ending? i mean come on WTF? in just one episode he goes from being the main character to being the bad guy? is there any sequels coming or what? there better be

reply

Well he is portrayed as a selfish and crafty character throughout the whole series. Its to no one's surprise that he would turn 'bad'. Then again he did sussed out the old man's ulterior motive which kinda makes him the same guy. He even stated it before, he likes how the world is now, he doesn't want it to change. And due to his independent nature and all his talk about one must do anything in order to survive in this hellish desert, of course he would side with the government. His 'friends' want to make a change. He doesn't.

fair enough, i got all that when i watched it too. its just that it was too much, too fast. if they had done it gradually over ,lets say, 3 episodes or so it would have felt more well rounded. but the way they did it it was kind of like the producers were like, "all right were canceling the show, you have one episode to wrap it up, and thats it." dont get me wrong, i still love the series though

"WAIT! I WANT MY LAWYER, HE'S THE NAKED GUY IN THE BUFFALO HAT!"

i agree, you dont see D.P. for a few episodes then suddenly he comes back as a bad guy, i didnt rly like it. it was good tho, cuz at the end of it a had this rly dapressing feeling in my gut, it feels *beep* but means that it was a great series, i didnt like the episodes where D.P. was 'dead' they were all good but first were more innocent and funny, then the story develops and when its kinda in the middle it just stops with the last episode

hope they make series 2 although very unlikely

p.s. at the end i kinda hoped D.P. would turn out good or that the little chick went with him, i thought they made a great team, best episodes were when they were together i think.

i remeber i had to stop wathcing the series cuz id wathced like 10 episoedes in a row just when D.P. 'died' so i had like a night wondering wht would happen

Taiko's response to him is the only one that matters.

She was willing to accept him back, UNTIL, she realized that he actually set fire to matsunami's home. That was something horrible. That was malicious. That had surpassed anything that Kanta had done through the whole series. He even admits it himself, it was horrible.

Hes selfish, hes crafty...but he wasnt a cold blooded killer.

So Kanta is NOT the same guy.

So what side he was on really didnt matter. What side taiko was one really didnt matter. Taiko could not be on his side, no matter who they fought for.

When kanta reveils that Kaizuka is not in it for the people, i naturally went "oh yea, Kanta is on the right side, and everyones going to turn on Kaizuka". That didnt happen...which left me feeling like the anime was unfinished.

And it was.

The ending, although clever...leaves something to be desired. Yes, Kanta sucks, but thats not how a story ends. There was no resolution.

D.P. was always sort of a "bad guy". He just shows his true colors at the end.

I liked the twist ending but more episodes seem needed it way to open-ended as it is
