A sad but awesome ending (SPOILERS)

Did anyone else get sad when Kosuna finally reunited with the Desert Punk only to find that he had become a villain? I felt betrayed having grown to know and love Desert Punk (despite his pervy ways) only to see what he turned into.
At first I was really pissed, especially seeing how much Kosuna adored him, but then I realized that any story that can evoke that kind of emotion is a damn good one. The torch was passed, and the sad truth is that not every protagonist stays good (or in his case, neutral).

I totally agree. So many people hated the ending, but I loved it. Kanta pretty much stayed to true to his character even to the very end...he was only really looking out for himself.
