were the aliens speaking greek or just 'alienish'?

Hi there, remember the aliens that talk at the ending of the film...a small one and a big one, and that they seem to be talking about "the meaning of life"?

Is it just me or they were talking in greek?

reply

On one of his dvds you can find the text. I can't remember which dvd it was on, but I saw it. I couldn't read it on my little tv.

Dictated, but not read.

It was a made-up nonsense language, spoken by Don & his girlfriend.

We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turnin' every good thing to rust

To add on to what jcgamer107 posted, the language is intentionally incomprehensible because the meaning of life is incomprehensible.Just when you're about to hear the answer, the language you recognize switches to the unrecognizable and undecodable. No matter how close you think you get to obtaining life's answers, the answers elude you, ever more unobtainable and unfathomable.

Indeed, I believe George Carlin said it best:

"Right when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it."
