This Is The First Film I've Ever Had To Give 1 Star
I'm an avid horror fan above anything else, so I thought I'd been to the bottom of the barrel and back again when it comes to "bad" movies. Because of this, I think it's fair to say that I'm very lenient when it comes to rating movies, especially horror flicks. Even the worst films I've ever come across still received at least a 2 star rating from me for the attempt alone. The Graveyard, however, wasn't even a good attempt.
The killer is ridiculous, running around in a half-assed Leatherface mask.
The characters will get on your nerves, even the random ones that are dropped into the story for the sole purpose of being cannon fodder for a few minutes. All of them, including the typical cop, are complete idiots, surpassing the stupidity you'd normally expect from your stereotypical slasher victims. You couldn't even consider their actions a "stretch" in the majority of the scenarios.
The plot is inconsistent, as once the "twist" is revealed you come to the realization that the killer has somehow managed to be in 2 places at once.
I've come across a ton of message boards where I find a "WORST MOVIE EVER!" thread that somebody has started. When you've seen as many horror films as I have, you can usually disagree with the statements you find, but The Graveyard marks the first time I wouldn't be able to defend against those kinds of accusations.
Even the hot chicks couldn't save this one.
"Well...I've seen enough. Come on Charlie, we're going home."
