Questions about levelling, mini medals, and monster item drops

Well, for those into data tallying and comparisions, my Hero's at Lv. 44, Yangus' is at Lv. 44, Angelo's at Lv. 43, and Jessica's at Lv. 43. I'm currently at 108 hours in, have yet to start the Dark Citadel, have filled all of Dodgy Dave's orders, beaten Rank A at the Monster Arena, have 106 Mini Medals, have the Divine Bustier (RWWWWOOOOORRRR. Actually, anyone else think Jessica could be a Sailor Scout in that outfit? I especially think so after she pulls off a Pink Typhoon), maxed out Jessica's Sex Appeal, died and been church revied once, and have broken the bank at the casino several times. It's taken me so long to get to the end because I've gone on several gambling junkets, as well as I'm currently on an Alchemy Pot fetish, making as many items as I possibly can. The only hard bosses I've faced have been Dhoulmagus' both forms and Empyrea.

So, does anyone know of a good spot to level up? Slime Hill is great and all, but the fact that you don't exclusively run into the metal versions is a bit of a pisser. Add in that Holy Protection doesn't work, and that you can't Intimidate the weaker enemies away, and it becomes a serious grind.

Does anything happen if you give Princess Minnie all 115 Mini Medals?

Finally, does anyone know of a skill or item that increases both common and rare monster item drops? I know Intimidate works great on weaker enemies for common, but what about rare drops and stronger enemies? I've never had Steal Sickle work worth a damn.

I collected all 115 medals but the princess would not take them all. I actually had only one or two more than the amount needed for the flail of destruction weapon for Yangus. Princess Minnie took all that I had but only gave me the flail. later on I found the final medals, returned to see her and the king was sitting on the throne, all healed, and he wouldn't take the last medals.

1. There are 115 Medals to be found, but only 110 are needed to get all the rewards. Minnie won't give you anything for the remaining 5. Additionally, you won't find the last medals until after you beat Rhapthorne's final form and play the mini-quest after the Epilogue.

2. If you want to level up quickly, you need the metal slime kings or the liquid metal slimes. Regular metal slimes are decent in a pinch. Howling Hill (with all the slimes) has all the metal ones. Liquid metal slimes are also found in the hill south of the desert (accessible only by air). Metal slime kings can also be found in the Dragon's Graveyard, Tyran Gully, and the Dragovian Path. I beat the game in 85 hours, with each character around level 50 due to a lot of long, tiresome hours hunting Howling Hill for metal slime kings.

3. I've never seem mention of anything that increases an enemy drop. I never used sickles with Yangus, so I always left item drops up to chance.

I always run from the weaker enemies in slime hill and wait for the good metal slimes. I got to level 65 just by killing metal slimes at the slime hill and doing everything including the Dragovian Trials in 75 hours.

A shame about the enemy drop thing because getting Slime Crowns from Metal King Slimes are extremely rare.

I must be very slow!! I've reached 182 hours!!!! I'm at Level 51 with the Hero and have yet to finish the Dark Citadel. It's all unlocked (stairs have been formed) though so all I gotta do is go down to Rhappy.
I have never been wiped out - Trode showers me with compliments for this feat on Records screen.
I've gotten everything from the casinos and am also on an alchemy pot fetish. The item drop thing is a problem as I'm trying to fill out my monster records with both dropped items listed - Loads of it done, but I've killed, intimidated, Stainless Steal Sickled hundreds of damn Candy Cats and still only got the Medicinal Herb drop listed. Grrrr....!!
On a plus note the Metal Slime were nice and I have all their drops. Pity Orihalcum is such a beast to get though cos I need one for an Imcomplete Recipe!!
It will be finished though. It may take years, but I'll do it!
Anyone else got longer save times at the current stage of the game?
