Good show but...

As much as I like this show, what is the point of them sending Araya and Christina to all these places when they never actually prove anything? They always end it as 'inconclusive' with some reasoning as to why it could have been fake.
I don't think in one single episode they've actually proved that these 'witnesses' are telling the truth.

I agree. But that could be a good thing. Pretty much in every show on TV that relates to uncovering mysteries, they are convinced that the mystery is true, despite the lack of evidence. Mystery Hunters allows both sides; believers and skepticals to be exposed.

it's called Mystery HUNTERS, so they go and HUNT mysteries. the point isn't to find a mystery fact of fiction, but to explore them close up and show both sides of the argument. you know, to teach kids to be critical thinkers.
the show kicks ass

The show's attitude is skeptical (i.e., scientific). The lack of sufficient evidence means that there is no reason to buy the claim.

Hmmm..7.2 rating? Yes, it must be really crappy to have such a high rating.

Do you have any REAL reason to be bashing the show, are you just coming here to act retarded? The mysteries they explore are legitimate, and they are retarded because they can't solve anything?

Unless you have VALID explanations to why you don't like it, and not just, it's crappy because it's real life stuff, then I'm going be to under the impression that you are nothing more than an internet bashing troll.

Very rarely do any shows, or hunters of the paranormal find any real conclusive evidence to support anything. Most of the things that occur happen by accident, so it seems when people TRY to look, they can't find it.

THE MYSTERIES THEY EXPLORE are actually age-old and not one person, not even the archaeologists or scientists, have yet uncovered the truth about these things, like the Stonehenge or whatnot.

The point of the show is to present kids and adolescents with these wonderful and interesting phenomenons that we can't yet explain, same with asking questions like, "Is there a God?" or "What's the meaning of life?"

How can they then "solve" these mysteries if they are yet unsolvable, even by experts?

Because of Mystery Hunters I became really fascinated with archaeology and history. I have just graduated from high school and this September I'm going off to university, where I'm taking astronomy and biological anthropology.

Fun and informative as the show often is, you can tell that the investigations are somewhat staged. You always get the "fake scares", when the young investigator, whether the boy or the girl, gets grabbed on the shoulders or come up suddenly against someone, who usually is a guide or an expert on whatever it is they are investigating. And I have a hard time believing that they get to totally go alone in some places that could be dangerous for even an adult, never mind a teenager.

I agree.They don't prove anything,which is sad.

Not only do they never solve anything, but every episode I've seen ends with them saying that "there's no proof one way or the other, but it's *probably* not true". And that Doubting Dave guy is relentlessly irritating -- why can't people just believe in something without it being dissected? I mean, I know the point of the show is to try and solve the mysteries, but they always end it on the "it's most likely fake" note when talking about phsycic abilities, ghosts, etc. It's kind of biased, when you think about it.

They've proven how cringeworthy this is.
When talking to a real expert it'a not bad, but the showmanship stuff is so fake and awful.

But, the show is aimed at kids. The campy showmanship is for entertainment for anyone under the age of probably 15.
