Just Rented What Love Is
I just rented "What Love Is" yesterday. It was really a good movie that would have potential as the pilot of a sitcom. I'm not sure what all the negativity here is about. I realize that type of movie is not for everyone, but I can certainly see where it would appeal to the "Sex in the City" generation.
As I am sorting through conflicting information from this site about WLI and SB83, I think it is only fair that I post.
There was a complexity in the characters that was revealed as the movie progressed. It tells me that there is some real talent here and I hope that the DVD rentals will help the investors.
The movie was positioned at Blockbuster equally to all the new releases in alphabetical order. There were 3 copies, which seemed about average for that section.
I asked the man at Blockbuster how the movie did when it first came out on DVD. He said he recalls it did well with renters--he said most romantic movies are really popular.
