What Love Is is truly one of the best romantic comedies to be released this year. The dialog is great. Conversations these characters have are amazing because it sounds as if the director almost recorded some of this dialog. Every topic the men talk about in these scenes is so true to real life its great. I almost find myself reliving moments with friends who would talk about nothing but the same subjects this group of friends do at Tom's (Cuba Gooding Jr) house. Scenes with Mathew Lillard and Andrew Daly are hilarious. The whole rant Mathew Lillard goes on with about monogamy, why his character is the person that he is in the present and how he views woman is hilarious. Gina Gershon and Mars Callahan have a great exchange of dialog about cheating and Cuba Gooding delivers one of his finest performances yet. What Love Is will have you bursting with laughter until the credits roll.

I feel you are realy tearing appart this movie why. I liked the film the acting was good. It had a strong content Language and all. But I wasnt bored for and independent film it was pretty good. I have seen a lot of film that had great reviews that sucked to. It will do well on dvd Iam sure. any way have a nice day. It must have been preaty good to get you all worked up an all. At least it moved you.

Geez your post sounds like a commerical for WLI! And I might ask if you are sure you wacthed the same WLI thats getting bad reviews all over the place? I saw this film and I hated it! The crappy lines that came out of all the characters mouths was just plain stupid, and my god couldnt have Mars at least rented the local Mcdonalds for a change of scenery out of that stupid apartment? Just how did he talk all these good actors into appearing in this crappy film anyway? Did he use the same lies that he did to his investors?

I have no horse in the "Is What Love Is Good Or Not" race, but who says something like "What Love Is will have you bursting with laughter until the credits roll."??? Sounds like something from a marketing brochure.

On the other hand, the people who claim all the positive posts are generated by the company should realize that -- from what I read here -- a lot of people have invested in the film so there are a lot of people with an interest in seeing it do well. At the end of the day I doubt anyone posting on an imdb board will have a huge impact on how the film performs one way or the other.

This movie is getting bad reviews all around the boards because Phillygirl, deb17, dawnday9622, moviebuffchic, serendipity-gal and pak-hanafi are ALL THE SAME PERSON WITH DIFFERENT USER NAMES. You can't fool us, so no matter how many ways you want to bash this movie, we know it is you PHILLYGIRL. That is why no one bothers to reply, but you have lots of fun anyway going back and forth with all your fake user names.

Wow, all this makes me really want to see the movie to see who is right! I love Mars and I doubt the movie can be as bad as its being made out to be, but where I would have possibly waited till it was released on DVD to see it, now I am going to spend the money to see it as soon as I can to see who is right about it! LOL Every one have a great day!

wli is astoundingly good.it's hip,fresh and innovative.shot in a whole new style with dialogue for the masses.all smart people
will agree.rand shortcoff and steve canuni are genious to have met this bright new voice mars callahan........what's happening?.....

Love this movie, I watch it a few times a year, it reminds me of some of my friends and their conversations. It's almost like the screenplay is written without any kind of filter and it runs like a play. It's so over the top with some things I actually laugh out loud. Guilty pleasure for sure.
