So it's not about Sheffield then?
Doh!
For anyone who's not aware, Sheffield is the city of sex & steel, and the birthplace of football.

Sheffield? I think you mean Pittsburgh...minus the sex.
shareNope, sorry mate, I mean Sheffield: - officially the city of Sex & Steel.
Agreed Pittsburgh is a city of Steel, which is twinned with Sheffield, but the top dog of all time in Steel manufacturing is Sheffield.
(and the birthplace of Association Football).
Goodbye.
No, it's Alton, Illinois. About 30 miles north of St. Louis, MO. I'm a Paramedic in Alton and remember when this was filmed. Lots of folks I know from the Alton Fire Dept., Alton Police Dept. and Alton EMS were in the car crash scene that opens the movie.
Alton has one working steel mill and several that are either closed or have been torn down.
Alton and East Alton (also featured in the film) both have T O N S of bars and beer halls.
So, sorry, Sheffield! Sorry, Pittsburgh! Not you!
