I actually thought if there ever was a time for the rude American tourist, this is one of them. Does this guy really deserve respect? The scene with the door is the only one I know really happened.

I thought they were calling him Charlie Chan. I did not think their disrespect came from an awareness of his war crimes as from cultural ignorance and a bit of xenophobia.
