So, I just watched this again tonight, and realized the monster in this is absolutely.. at least.. was paid tribute by/ripped off in Fallout 3. Seriously. If you haven't played it google image "fallout centaur" It's not EXACTLY the same, but similar enough to mention.
Actually, before Fallout 3 there was Fallout and Fallout 2, both of which were released almost a decade before Slither and had centaurs that looked like that. Furthermore, the antagonist of Fallout, the Master, looked even more like Grant than the centaurs do.
Either an amazing design coincidence or tribute on the part of someone for sure.
I reckon Slither pays as much homage to video games as it does to movies because the fully transformed Grant was a dead ringer for a Centaur from the Fallout series.
