anyone else hate the ending (spoiler alert)

I loved this film but I hated the ending because it was so horrible. I don't think it's realistic for any wife to shoot her husband, unless she has mental problems or there is domestic violence etc. going on. Which, clearly in the movie there isn't..in the 2nd part where they are together, living basically as husband and wife, she is portrayed as a loyal and loving wife, and he as a good husband. I am married and I don't care how many nuclear bomb parts my husband has in his jacket, I would never ever think about shooting him. Plus how can she know for sure that he is lying, when he says they just plan to use the weapon as a negotiating chip, to get India and Pakistan out of Kashmir? Or that the IKF will kill all of them if they don't hand over the bomb part? Seems like Rehan had good justification to do what he was doing..

If I could rewrite the ending, I would have Rehan hand over the bomb part, retire from working for the IKF, and live 'happily ever after' with his family. And the IKF uses the bomb threat to make India and Pakistan get out of Kashmir. But I guess that ending would not be politically acceptable for a Bollywood film..

Most of all..I just cannot believe any woman would shoot her beloved husband not once, but twice in the torso. Seriously, at least shoot him in the leg!
