Plot Outline:
Cha Eun-jin (Eun-Kyung Shin) a female organized crime boss, heads to China to take revenge for a murder, there she encounters a female triad boss (Shu Qi ).
That is a big lie. Eun-jin is nowhere to be seen in this movie. The other two My wife is Gangsters has nothing to do with this movie. So why in the world are they naming this movie My wife is gangster?
It's now a franchise, like "National Lampoon's <Whatever>".
Shu Qi ends up marrying her bumbling but loyal and brave "protector", so from his point of view, his wife is a gangster.
The fact that it happens at the end makes no difference.
Personally, I preferred 1 & 2, with the original actress, who had a real sense of cool.
When I saw 3, I thought I'd been duped. But, as my wife said, you just have to watch it without thinking about the other 2, and it'll be an enjoyable, but not fantastic, couple of hours.
And to be fair, all the main korean actors/actresses were great.
