any actual sequel to the 2nd one?

just bought this thinking that it was a sequel to the second one. 2 minutes into the movie i realized it wasn't and searched the internet for info, and i discover that this movie isn't even related to the first two. so my question is, does anyone know if there is actually going to be a sequel that follows the first two? cause it seems that the second leaves the plot hanging a bit making me think that there would be an obvious sequel following it
