Nothing good in particular about it

I think this film is overrated. Jay Chou trying to be cool throughout, could have shown a little more emotions rather than be like a walking robot, if that's what he thinks is cool. The racing scenes did not provide much adrenalin rush either. Besides it was really silly and childish when Jay Chou and Itsuki fight. Even the fight scene looks just like kids fighting, while they were in fact mature grown-ups.
Overall, it was a mismatch of roles, casts and storyline.

If one chose to have actually watched this film, they may find that the characters were in fact high school students. Who as you may be aware are prone to silly and childish actions.

I think the movie was average good. It could've been better if they use the original music from Initial D anime. The music they used in here really don't match and lack emotions during the race. Secondly, the main girl ... I don't think she's cute enough for the character. Could've gotten a prettier girl. Anyways, I'd give the movie 7.5/10 ... while the anime is 9.5/10 - classic.

So, are you rating movies on a 1-20 scale or 1-100?

1-10 usually provides enough options for most people. Onlt the most indecisive need more than that.

"It's just a movie" is no excuse for treating us like idiots!

Racing scenes were mediocre, the story was total rubbish. 3/10 to me.

Jay is Jay, but he does much better in Mandarin than Cantonese. Edison and Shawn are skilled in Cantonese, but Jay isn't so much.

I don't know about students fighting where you are, but most students in Japan don't know how to fight much. Maybe, they actually tried to be Japanese for once.

Not bad, but not great. 6/10
