Werewolf??

What was up with the werewolf? they randomly introduce some guy who is special because he's a werewolf, then when the time comes, he turns into a werewolf (for some reason in the middle of the day) and then dies. The werewolf served absolutely no purpose.. its like they just decided to throw the werewolf in there for the hell of it. This film was horrible. I dont know what they were thinking when they made it.

The whole Horrors of War concept was originally suspose to be made as an anthology. 3 segments: the super soldier story, the werewolf story, and a ghost story.
The executive producer convinced everyone that there needed to be one feature length story and a main character who went threw the whole movie. So, they dropped the whole ghost story and the idea of the antholgy, and combined the werewolf and super soldier story, with Schmidt as the main character who goes through the whole movie.

Maybe you missed it, but the werewolf's origin story is the entire first half of the movie. I don't think you can accurately say "randomly dropped in" when he spent the first 45 minutes of the movie showing you how he got bit, how he transformed, etc.

Maybe you missed the first half of the movie?

Actually I thought that the long haired guy in the beginning who bite him was a zombie not a werewolf. Ok now that makes more sense, the werewolf doesn't seem as random now LOL. Thanks for posting this I was a bit confused by that too as the film advertized Nazi zombies I naturally assumed the "werewolf" in the beginning was a zombie as it looked more pale and mindless than wolflike IMO.
