1st werewolf shot ect dont die except when army guy shots him after biting the lad and then its with silver bullet, lad turns into werewolf to fight zombie guy gets thrown on pipe and dies, so how does that kill him when only silver bullets kill the ware wolfs ? dont get it unless it was an oversight

Who said he was dead?

He didn't die and is intended to come back at some point.

i assumed hes dead as he didnt go back and was looking dead on the spike

There werewolf is not dead, as he wasn't killed by silver.
