Are you serious?!?

How are you people saying that this film looked like crap, had bad acting, bad costumes, etc?

Were you watching the sh*t bootleg on a black & white sylvania your mom had in her attic?

Or were you watching SS Doomtrooper?

Seriously, folks. Instead of bitching about every movie on the imdb forums, try appreciating something for once! Most of the people posting complaints about this movie ONLY post complaints on these boards.

As for my take on the movie, I enjoyed every second of it because I went into it with no preconceived notion that I was going to watch Saving private Ryan with zombies and werewolves. I knew it was a horror film. I knew the director and producers made good stuff. I knew the makeup and effects guy kicks ass. I knew I wasn't going to see Grand Illusion.

Before anyone takes the complaints of the idiots that whine on these board seriously, I highly suggest checking this movie out. You will have a lot of fun.

Dont take this the wrong way mate, I do appreciate that everyone has the right to voice their opinion and I'm glad someone actually liked this film, but I've gotta say in my opinion this was actually one of the worst films I have ever seen. I wanted to like it and was excited when i stumbled across it but was sorely dissapointed upon viewing. The acting was nothing short of terrible, and the action scenes were about as bad as any I have ever seen. I realise the budget cant have been huge but this film actually looks like it cost about 50 pence to make. The less said about the 'werewolves' the better. For a film marketed as an action/horror this faied dismally on both counts. I feel that branding people 'idiots' for voicing their opinions is a tad harsh. The mere fact that so many people feel such dissatisfaction with this film surely lends some weight to the possibility that it is actually s**t.On the plus side the dvd made quite a good frisbee when I was walking my dog the other day.She never brought it back when I threw it though, guess she did'nt like it either.

Yeash I really dont get it, all of these people are saying how bad it was. It's a low-buget movie, you cant get any better than this for $1 million...for that money they couldnt of done any better, they did a great job.

Film makers have been doing better jobs on a lot lesser budgets for years.

I'll bet a lot of the people who complain about this movie tend to buy Full Screen DVDs.

reply

Agreed. I see them every day. They drool slightly.

Ouch. That's harsh! I mean that is the worst insult I have heard. :) Seriously, who buys full screen DVDs? :)

it wasn't bad. My Dad was over and saw the disc on my desk and asked "What's that?" I looked at for a moment and then changed the subject. I had to think about it: this movie wasn't as bad as anything Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey has been in, in the last 3 years. At least when you're a superstar, you should put out something decent.

"I'll admit it -- I was totally punk'd. When I watched Horrors of War I was floored. No one, I mean no one, makes a movie this cheesy this seriously."

The most accurate review... EVER!

I thought this was a spoof when I saw it, "Here comes daddy!" I acually laughed. Then laughed again when I found out they where serious.

Can someone, anyone give these guys a dialogue coach!

reply

It's meant to be like a midnight movie. The kind of thing from a UHF station on a matinée. The 1940's style dialogue is intentional.

What's really odd to me is that the line of dialogue "Here comes daddy" does not appear in the movie anywhere. Just wondering if you saw the same movie...

Different strokes, for different folks.

As I say often in this forum - some people like it, some people don't. Much like every movie ever made.

It's a low budget movie. I thought it was pretty good

I rate it above Bay's Pearl Harbor. At least I got what I paid for here.

Lots of independent movie makers play the budget card when it comes to their movies falling short. What they mostly lack of though is what should of come cheapest, merely a computer, a printer and some sheets of paper, lots of imagination and the talent to write a decent story.
Its allways the script.

reply

I think a lot of people have not seen a proper low/no budget film because this movie wasn't too bad. I've unfortunately seen far worse.
