You don't wanna see this one

The main reason is the crappy ass filming and 'special effects'. The 'stunts' even suck!

While running down a hill and shooting from a tommy you can see the yellow fire added later on. What a big shame, do you homework!

Don't be a weenie. Lots of us thought this was a fun flick. You're not gonna make us think we were wrong. Stop being a twit.

I enjoyed it! Definitely worth seeing, in my opinion.

Fair enough Sonnyboo. I've thought about what I had previously wrote and I think it is great what you are trying to do. I surely don't know how to make a good movie, but I do know what makes one good. I commend the effort, but even so It was still bad. I think on a personal level I would get along with all of you involved in it. I also want to say that if you can't make it big time who cares! I should tell you that they are renting out at my local stores. (yes 3 copies at blockbuster congrats on that!) So I say whether they are liked or not it doesn't make a difference. I would even like to be a part of one of your films in the future. Just throwing it out there. And yes you can all tell me to kiss off if wanted too, I can understand that. Must be irritating for people like me that really don't know what is truly involved in making a film ripping on yours. You guys keep making them and I will keep renting them, even though I didn't like this one. I think if you focused more on plot and less with special effects it would be a better film. But all I can say is good for you guys and screw my previous comments!!

Honestly, I do not want you to think I disrespect your opinion. I disagree with it. Not everyone will like this movie or any other. I accept that. I like it, you don't. I'm sure if we went down our list of top ten favorite movies each, we'd similarly find a movie one of us loved, the other one didn't like.

It was irritating 7 years ago when people didn't like my movies. Today, it's a fact of life that every filmmaker on the planet has to get used to. For me, as I said, I get good reviews from more places than bad ones.

There are many flaws in this movie, I agree, but the sum total is still something I like. This is the kind of movie I would watch if I hadn't been a co-director/co-writer/producer on.

I think if people had a PLANET TERROR/FROM DUSK TILL DAWN mindset when they sat down to watch this, they'd enjoy it a lot more.

If you want to be a part of one of my future films, I'd be happy to have you involved. Loving my movies is NOT a prerequisite.

All I know is, it was pretty freakin cool to go to a Blockbuster in Hollywood, CA and find 4 copies of "Horrors of War" on the new releases wall.

I had a blast making this movie, as I assume everyone else did. Yes, the budget was not big, and there are flaws, but seeing it on the shelves of Blockbuster and Best Buy made me smile, and I think for as many people who hate it, just as many will like it.

John Whitney and Peter John Ross are darn good directors. Peter john Ross has been at it for years and has won several awards. John Whitney recently almost made the final cut for FOX's show "On the Lot". These 2 are very good, also pretty darn good editors as well, and it was a pleasure working with them.
I recently moved to LA from Ohio, and I can say that for me, in my 6 years as an actor in Ohio, "Horrors of War" was definitely the highlight.
Love it or hate it, man was it fun to make!

Sonnyboo that was an excellent response. I think you are right that I should have went into it w/a different mindset. I think it's great that you are making movies and I probably am just jealous to be totally honest. Hell just getting them on DVD is great. Making movies AT ALL is great in itself. Look me up some time, My email is [email protected] and I will continue to support you in the future no matter what. I think that you will just continue to get better and I really think that you will get that one good flick that makes you. By the way there still aren't any copies on the shelf which is a great thing so I hope you get some of that green in your pockets.

I rented it today, it was ok. Not the best movie, but worth a rental I'd say.

No, no plans for a sequel, as far as I know. I know both Directors are working on different projects right now.

I know at one point, they were trying to get it as a TV series, honestly though I have no idea if that is still being pursued or not.

Yea, the ending fight scene was really bad, I think everyone realizes that. However, realize that it was shot with no fight choreographer, no stunt people, no nothing. It was just the 2 actual actors ( David Carrol and Dan Kiely) in costume doing everything themselves, in a warehouse that was 100 degrees inside.
Of course there was the Director, and the full crew and everything, but you get my drift.

So, you see the scene, and you laugh (I laughed too) , but when you consider how it was done, it's actually quite impressive.

People can bash all they want, like they do for all movies on imdb, but when you consider the budget for "Horrors of War", it's an pretty amazing achievment.

Some of the actors try hard, but the writing, directing and general production is strictly amateur hour.

Lol I am surprised how it has all those awards and recommendations on the cover art. What a waste.
