I was for some strange reason...even though at first it doesn't seem all that scary.

Honestly, when I think about it, this is probably the scariest ghost story I've heard...even though it doesn't seem like it should be. Ever since I've seen the movie (I saw it for the first time nearly two years ago), I have had dreams from time to time about the house and that demon. The first one I had involved the demon coming to my house and holding me down and strangling me or something. It was kind of scary!

Agreed. It is the scariest ghost story I've heard(beside some chain letters). And it doesn't seem like it should be.

Ok i just saw the haunting conneticut movie on theaters and i was curious to read about the true story and i watched the documentary. I truthfully dont understand what the hype is about because the demon was not even CLOSE to being scary.

This demon comes up on caller ID when it calls me.

OMG, that was one creepy motherfunker! Might be the scariest movie I have ever seen.

reply

YES! Those eyes were off the chart scary!!
The mortician in the remake was nowhere near as scary
as the the demon in the documentary version.
Shivers....

Apparently he went to school with Sandra Bullock. So not so scary really.

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!
