Well, I thought that this fan-flick was fine, but a badly executed Army of Darkness reference had pissed me off!
I'm talking about when they had killed Freddy the dude does the same movement as Ash when he killed the she-bitch. It almost looked nothing like it. Some other references were funny - like the Matrix one, but this one totally sucked.

If it was so badly executed, then you wouldn't have been able to recognize it as an AoD ref, correct? Or am I the only one that follows this far fetched concept called logic?
Plus, no one could ever come even close to Bruce Campbell and to try and compare the two performances really is unfair.
The fact there was an AoD ref. at all should make you happy, since it really is such a cult flick, and this was a little nod to it. Why nitpick? I was thrilled that it was there, even if it wasn't up to BC's acting standards.
Can't even remember that. It could just be conicidence that it LOOKS like it. Besides, there was also a ninja turtles reference "the shirt Neil wore in the start of the film".
