Any release news?
Anyone have any idea when this is going to be released?

Rumour has it that it will be released in the UK in March 2006. The UK Premiere is on Saturday 4 March in London.

Cool! I had an email from Wolfgang back in December where he said that it was getting a theatrical release in Germany in January, a DVD release in Germany in March, and a UK release in May. That's great if the UK release got moved up.
I'm in the US, so I won't get to see it until it hits DVD.

It looks like the UK release of Twisted Sisters is going to be the summer. However, there are talks with a US distribution company for the US release at the moment.
That's good news. I don't think Lovesick ever got a US release. I'll pick up the German release in March. I really liked his last 2 films so I am looking forward to this with much anticipation.

I'm going to get the German release too - can't wait any longer to see it - have you ordered it yet and where?
shareNot yet. From looking around it seems that the "rental" DVD release date for Germany is March 23, and the "buy" release date is in May. Not sure what that means as far as availability and price. I'll be looking around in the next day or so.

Sounds right. Makes more sense that the UK and Germany purchase releases be around the same date. I guess that means if you want to see this now you have to rent it in Germany, probably a common enough practice but it's the first I've heard of it.

News from the top is that the US distribution deal has been signed but Sisters won't be available in the States until the end of August.
Best bet is to get in touch with the UK distributor Odeon Entertainment (www.odeonent.co.uk) and ask when the UK release is due.
Yeah, I'd rather not wait until August (though it's great that it is getting US distribution). I know the German 'for sale' release is in May, so I assume that will be before the UK release? As long as it has an english audio track I'll get that.

Twisted is rated FSK18 which means it is illegal for anyone in Germany to sell it abroad. This is what I was told by the distributor himself. Best bet would be to buy UK in May or wait for the US release.
Or you can buy the Twisted Sister DVD POSTER which I saw on ebay last week - but it is gone now :(
