one of the funniest ever

Does anybody else think this was one of the best stand up routines ever recorded.Ive seen most of the classic stand up routines such as
Billy Conolly
Richard Prior
Eddie Murphy
and more recently Bill Bailey and Ricky Gervais but having watched this twice in the last week I cant remember laughing outloud as much as when watching Dylan Moran.Comedy genius me thinks.
Anybody else got any views on this.

yeah i thought this was a particularly good stand up from such an underrated comedian. i agree mostly with your selection but not ricky gervais. i think his stand up is weak and forced but apart from that yes the rest are brill. would you put eddie izzard in your selection, i think he's particularly funny.

About a year ago, I went through a phase of watching comedy routines that I haven't seen before and each one was better than the last. It went like this: Lee Hirst, Ardal O' Hanlon, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Billy Connelly, Ricky Gervais, Bill Bailey, Bill Hicks, Dylan Moran. To this day, I haven't found a comedy routine as throw-your-head-back-laughing funny as this one. Come on Dylan and do another one.

I tell a lie. I've just seen Richard Pryor 'Here and Now'. I haven't laughed so hard since I saw Dylan Moran but this guy is funnier. I can't believe I never watched any of his stuff before.

Am I the only person in the world who thinks Peter Kay is the least funny guy in the history of mankind?

Gordon Brown is less funny. Donald Rumsfled also. Hitler wasn't up for many laughs either I hear ;)

Sorry, I meant least funny comedian. He *beep* sucks. I live in Lancashire where Peter Kays from. I can actually relate to everything he says but for some reason it's just not funny.

I think the only person that has made me laugh more than Dylan Moran is Ross Noble. I love his randomness. And I agree with redefine, Peter Kay - sucks. Funniest comedians for me - Ross Noble, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard....and you gotta have a bit of Billy Connelly (I gotta support my fellow scots).

I love Black Books, and I've just ordered Monster! Can't wait to see it!! Watched Bill Bailey, Part Troll the other day, but I was actually quite disappointed. Have heard that Dylan Moran is brilliant tho, and I'm sure I won't be disappointed!! Watched Lee Evans XL Tour the other night and liked that!!

As for Peter Kay - I have Phoenix Nights on DVD, but have only watched 1 ep and don't think I'm going to bother watching the rest.

Dylan Moran is one of the better ones, Jimmy Carr can grow on you, but Bill Hicks is the champ. I'm posting all over this site to prove it.

I haven't seen many classic stand up routines, but I've watched some of the more recent famous ones and I think that Monster is by far the funniest out of all of them.

All I need is Bill Hicks and Dylan Moran. Bill Bailey is alright, not that great though
