Dirty's Dope

I got to say I rented this recently after seeing it in the theater when it first came out and it held up as a killer study of psycho cops. Looking over the posts I can't believe people who don't have the patience for it. Come on, people -- Dirty was hard to follow? You are no doubt enthralled by Hollywood paint-by-numbers stuff. Movies that lead you by the hand. Then there are other posts that object to the language, too many f-words for them. Like, where have YOU been? You must stay behind the walls of your gated community. And then there are those who say this was unrealistic. Again, that is just being naive. After Rampart, after Rodney King, I guess you'd rather stay asleep than wake up to reality. Cuba and Clifton Collins were excellent, excellent, excellent. Posts seem to be divided between those who are offended or confused by Dirty and those who think it was the best ever and quote lines from it. I guess that's the mark of a good movie, not like average Hollywood pablum. Dirty rules.

i agree, it went off. i really liked the movie and was eager to come on imdb to see what ppl thought of it , and was shocked that everyone thought it was soooo horrible. i agree it is a training day knock off but both actors were excellent in their roles. i'm glad i own the movie and chances are my friends are going to watch it and love it too , so kudos for me.

^^^ I agree! Wholeheartedly. This film was very unique, in many different aspects. The climax was magnificent. Not realy much else to say here other than the people who bombed on the film only want attention. Pathetic. This movie was dope, cuz.
