Tribute?

The scene where Clifton and Cuba are at the Mexican gangster's house and he's making them play the Russian Roulette, it was very reminiscent of "187" also starring Clifton Collins Jr. Where Clifton forces Sam Jackson to do the same thing with himself. Do you think this is a tribute to that movie since it also takes place in the LA area and has the same actor and the theme is somewhat similar?

It's not a tribute, it's plagiarism! This whole movie is derivative garbage, trying to emulate "Training Day" and "The Shield", but coming out as a meaningless, profane and unentertaining mess. And Clifton Collins Jr. is a pretty bad actor.

Clifton Collins Jr. is a great actor, he practically saved the movie.

I love this movie and both Clifton and Cuba did a good job.
