This was one BAD-ASS little movie. Are I.G. planning more of these 'Dead Leaves' films? All I can say is it is possibly the most beautiful animated film I have ever witnessed, harkening to the days of Liquid TV! The biggest compliment I can give this movie is this: it doesn't resemble anything done in the East or West... it looks like it was created by ALIENS! Bring it on!
shareya know, now that you mention it, i was getting a liquid television vibe through the whole thing and thinking it would would be a perfect recommendation to some friends that ate all that kinda stuff up in the nineties like candy. but alas, this looks to be made in 2004, so three years late for production i.g. to pick it up and make a second ova to it seem pretty slim, i think it was meant to be like flcl as a stand alone. the most realistic thing to hope for is manga, imo (which would be sweet, too)
