Is there a sequel to this or any further works by the same production company/writers or something with a similer style? That was amazing prob one of the most original mangas ive ever seen-a triumph for animation which has left me ravenous for more or anything like it.

I've got Akira and have been waiting for the impetus to watch Ghost in the Shell maybe this'll be it. Definitely gunna check out Jin-Roh productions and Macross plus, Blood also was on the trailers before Dead Leaves, one for the rental list me thinks.

FLCL is the series you want to check out. It's only 6 episodes, but a masterpiece of mayhem. I would also recommend EXCEL SAGA and maybe even MAGICAL SHOPPING ARCADE ABENOBASHI or PARANOIA AGENT. Those are good gateway series.
