Whoa...Just heard about this one...

So...who thinks this is already being cancelled as we speak? Who thinks this is loking pretty good? Who thisnks this will rock?

Anyone?

reply

Being on PAX it might actually last.
I didn't get a chance to see the first episode yet, I have it on tape.
I thought it might be so bad that it's good, if you know what I mean.
Over the last couple of years the guilty-pleasure syndicated shows have slowly been dwindling down in numbers, I've been waiting for a new one to come along.

In fact the double negative has led to proof positive.

It'll be miracle if it lasts the whole season! The main guy is cute but i only watch it to make fun of the fruity kid who plays the king!
hehe...funny show...

As you wish...

reply

I finally got to see the first two episodes!
I mark this show down on the "guilty pleasure" list.
It so ridiculous - it's fun.

If you missed the first episode, the Unofficial Young Blades web page has a "screencaps" gallery in their forum - www.youngblades.net/forum/portal.php
Also great for those in countries where "Young Blades" has not yet aired.

hahahaha i totally agree with you- that king is the biggest fag in the world!! i thought he was a girl at first.

i surprisingly like the show. it's not very well done, but yeah, definitly a guilty pleasure. i find myself just awaiting and antisipating it to come on on sunday nights.

i think the Spaniard is kinda cute too.

I love King Louie the 13th and a 1/2! He's so funny.

I think Siroc, the inventor, is kind of cute.

reply

Oh yeah, this is definitely my guilty pleasure. It's not exactly a well done show or even very realistic, but I like the characters.

Such a guilty pleasure, I almost didn't reply here 8-}

I've only seen the first two eps so far (the third is on tape) but it strikes me as cheesily good. The people involved in "Young Blades" seem to *know* that it's cheesy, and play up to that rather than trying to take it seriously, which makes for a fun show (kind of strikes me similar to "She Spies" in that respect)

I agree.
Thank goodness the actors don't take themselves seriously, if they did, well, that would just be sad ;P

Guilty Pleasure, indeed, that's just what I was thinking. I like the characters a lot. I think this show could be better, though it is quite good. I find there is something missing, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's something in the direction. I really like the lighting, although at times the night scenes are a touch too dark. I'm also a fan of the swordplay - can't have enough.
Louis XIII 1/2 annoyed me at first, but yeah, he's starting to make me laugh. What a riot! It may not be Shakespeare, but it's fun.
