Did the Original Pilot Movie ever air?

I don't think the movie "Young Blades" actually has anything to do with the series, despite the title and similar subject matter (ie, 3 Musketeers). Most 'pilot movies' tend to be followed by the series a little bit sooner than 4 years later, for one thing 8-} Also, the movie has all the original characters - Athos, Porthos, Methos (Oh, wait, that was Highlander 8-} ), Aramis, Richelieu - and none of the ones from the series (D'artagnan and King Louis don't really count here, IMHO 8-} )

If I remember correctly, the original movie was released on DVD in Region 2 (Europe et al).
