Queen Elizabeth was a lot younger when she became Queen...wasn't she only like 18? or is it 16? she was ridiculously young though when her father died and she became Queen.

unless I'm completley getting the Queens mixed up which is entirely possible...?

OK, True history here: Queen Anne of Austria (the sister of the king of Spain) was never TRULY queen of France. She married Louis XIII when she was only 14. Louis XIV wasn't born until she was about twenty-five or so. (They didn't have very good sex education back in the day...they didn't really know what they were doing.) Anyway, Louis XIII died when Louis XIV was just a babe, and he was actually the king for almost all of his life. Anne, was regent. Her father doesn't even enter into the picture, having been king of Spain (Felipe III, I believe, or maybe II, I don't feel like looking it up.) By the way, her brother, married the princess of France (Louis XIII sister) and their kids married, as well...the infanta of Spain having married Louis XIV (I think) and one of his sisters married the king of Spain. Anyway, the age works out about ok, Sheena Easton being around 50, and Louis having been born when she was a bit older than planned. Also, keeping in mind that actors' ages and characters' ages are always very fluid. D'Artagnan is 20, and Tobias Mehler around 30 here.

PS Anne married Mazarin, and died at 66 of breast cancer. How on earth did they know?
