Some of the songs are seriously catchy for a kids show.....

Seriously. I'm 15 and was watching the mission to mars episode....I was like wow. lol. I love that song now. It's so strange.

Do I love you because you're beautiful, or are you beautiful because I love you?

My favorite song is the Riding the Range theme. Riding the range, riding the range, riding the range, yahoo! I sing it all the time. I'm 39!

Well, the two songwriters who work for the show (Evan Lurie, from the Lounge Lizards, and Douglas Wieselman) are highly professional and talented musicians, and there's always an actual, skilled backing band in every song. It's no surprise that the songs are so good - I'm often listening to them.

Yup, the music AND lyrics are consistently awesome. Any style, any genre--clever and high quality.

Last summer, when my little girl was just beginning to speak, the "Race Around the World" episode caught her attention. She began to say "go go go" from one of the songs. I think it doubled her vocabulary at the time! lol

I was a Lounge Lizards fan from way back so when I saw Evan Lurie's name in the credits I knew the music would be superior.

The music in this show is beyond excellent and stays with me for days. My personal favourites are:

~"Quest for the Flying Rock" (Disco genre)
~"A Giant Problem" (80s Pop genre)

These are just my favourites, I pretty much love every episode's music.

I LOVE the "Cowgirls Cowboys wont cha come out tonight" (whatever the title is, I dunno?)

And we like "Yip, Yip, Yip, Yip dane to the wormin polka" (LOL is THAT what they say? Its on the "Shermin the Wormin" one)

I like Tasha's "Princess" and "Queens are never wrong" as well.

And we LOVE LOVE LOVE "Boinga"! Thats GOT to be my kids favorite.

There are SO many good songs on there, Im 29 and Im always singing them!

The ONLY songs I listen to just so HAPPEN to be my FAVORITES; "Hush Little Mermaid - from the first time I watched it, I've only missed it ONCE and it STILL manages to almost make me fall asleep - and "Laser Limbo" - take THAT Jamaica; who knew "Limbo Rock" could be taken to the next level like that -.

It's based on Buffalo Gals, a traditional folk song from the 1840's.
If you get the chance, watch It's A Wonderful Life when it comes on TV again at Christmas time. They sing it a bit in the film.

I love the flying rock episodes...as soon as I heard the clap track to the music I was like, NOWAY!
the high tea songs are great too, my son loves the zip, zip, zip song.
the mermaid lulaby, I'm deciding (from great to be a ghost), hold tight from the viking episode, meh, they're ALL good. I can't say as I was a fan of the super secret super spy one though, but jazz really isn't my flavor.
We've both CD's and play them in the car ALL the time.

My daughter and I love this show so much. I can't stand Dora or her idiot cousin diego, but Backyardigains are awesome.
The Drum Song has the best 'chatchiness'

The songs in Newsflash! and A Giant Problem have got to be up there.

I love the drumming song, too.

We have the first two CD's and cannot wait for the third one to come out next week. It is the only kids music that I will listen to in the car w/ my wee ones. So clever. I am always singing "whodunit, we're going to reveal, gonna reveal who likes to steal...". Love that song.

Haha love the songs! It's so funny to see all of us adults and teens on here listing our favorite songs. I can't say I've ever visited an imdb page for any other kids show out there.

Anyways, my favs are Eureka (I think the harmonizing is pretty and it was the first episode I ever saw) and I also LOVE Surf's up, ho daddy! And Rad Moves is good too.
