a little more positive people.....

despite alot of the slamming, i thought it'd only be fair to post a couple positive links to this film:

i go around seeing indie films getting slammed all the time especially the low budget horror genre. DEAD LIFE, ZOMBIEGEDDON, LIFEBLOOD, FERAL, SWAMP ZOMBIES are all not THAT bad people. Jesus! it's their first effort for god's sake! Cameron did "Pirahna 2:the spawning"(!)...and he turned out OK. Eli Roth was a PA for Troma movies for god's sake. All i can say is you never know where the next solid director can come from. I think people are expecting way to much from these modest budgeted films....

I love switching my brain off to corny b movies but this really takes the cake. Although the acting was dreadful, and the script gave the impression it was being made up as it went along, it was the dreadful sound quality that killed it for me. I know sound can be hard to manage in amature filming but this was awful. At times it was near impossible to follow the dialogue (such as it was) with the noise of the outside world being picked up all the time.
I know there was a low budget but even a cheap external microphone taped to a broomhandle would have been better than a built in generic camcorder microphone which was evidently in regular use.
Sorry guys, wanted to love it......just couldn't.

philliprottwieller YES with the exception of Dead Life those films are that bad, but Swamp Zombies is unwatchably bad on every level. I love no budget backyard epics. They tend to have fan spirited enthusiasm that many larger and more professional films lack. It's unfortunate that for every one film like The Dividing Hour,Death Of a Ghosthunter and The Ghouls we have a load of putrid wank like Swamp Zombies and 9 other pieces of puke chasing after it. Decent films can be made on this level if a lot of care is taken with the equipment selected, the direction, casting, script, and rehearsal of actors. Those three films mentioned above did all that and despite their paltry budgets and technical flaws succeeded. The bottom line is if it stinks it doesn't matter what the budget is.Don't try and tell us otherwise.

Sorry, I have to agree with the above 2 replies: this is an awful waste of time. HOWEVER, it`s not the worst zomflik to limp onto DVD - believe me there are much WORSE available (I just wish I wasn`t adept at picking `em...Platoon Of The Dead, The Forever Dead, KFZ aka Die-ner, Raiders Of The Living Dead, 2010`s Zombie Apocalypse, etc., all gathering dust on the shelf).
