Just saw a screening

I'm a non-Hanson fan. Not a hater, just not a fan. The brothers came down to my school to show the documentary (nice gesture). The timing of this documentary reminded me of the Blair Witch Project. The first hour and ten minutes were stretched out to build up tension, while the last twenty minutes squeeze in everything that you came to the theatre to see (what the brothers did after def jam). I think this method of build up worked in Blair Witch, but doesn't work well in this film. There is too much time focussed on the recording of their album. What I really wanted to see was how they worked to make it as an independent band.
Although their music is enh in my opinion, I must admit that I respect these guys for what they are doing with their careers, and what they are doing to change the music business. As an indie label owner myself, I feel that what the brothers are trying to do is a step in the right direction for music.
