I've been involved in a small part of the filming process for this movie, and from what I've seen, so far so good! I think it's really going to be a nice film. It's being filmed in Natchitoches, Louisiana, (also where Steel Magnolias was filmed back in the 80s) where I currently attend college. I assisted somewhat with a few extra props in Kate's (played by Tia Mowry) apartment. It's a cute set; it matches her 20-ish year old personality. In fact, I am proud to note, 5 pieces of my own artwork (as well as one piece by my roommate, who is an intern assistant art director)are being featured in Kate's bedroom. Filming on that particular set began Monday, and, from what I've been told, has been completed -- so that set should come down soon. The process seems to be going smoothly. And, I'll note, the production team is quite fantastic. Joe Wehinger and his crew are talented, friendly people.

I'll try my best to keep you updated on what's going on.

Did you actually meet Tia Mowry?

Actually, I haven't met Tia. However, my roommate (art student and free-lance photographer) is now an assistant to the art director. He's been working with them for almost two weeks now. He's gotten to know Tia Mowry very well, and he says she's a very sweet, kind person.

I have met her also. She is very sweet and genuine. I work in wardrobe and am also an intern. She is no longer in town cause she is done filming but she has givin me advice because i want to be an actor. Hopefully i can post pics too of filming. It wraps Nov 19th.
