Any more news on the DVD's release date?

Hi,

I figured I would start a new thread on this to see if anyone knows of any more news about the release date on DVD for this move, as I am still very much eager to see it.

It was suggested on my earlier thread, either late 2008, or early 2009, but we are now in February and still no sign anywhere.

I have been checking Amazon.com and the like but its not even up for pre-order yet?

The official website for the film, if you click to sign up for the newsletter, just brings up a 404 page none existent.

This really is odd, its like the film has just vanished.

Everywhere you look there are quite poor films getting released all the time, starring Z grade actors.

From everywhere I have read this is supposed to be an excellent film, it also stars the very talented, and extremely easy on the eyes, Alexandra Holden, so how come this doesn't get a release?

Come one surely it can be released at least somewhere in the world, as I have no objections to importing.

Hi AGood, (and hello to all the other fans of the film too!)

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Our US DVD release was delayed for a few months because of the slower economy (our distributor is now releasing 4 films a month instead of 5) and the new date is now June 24, 2009. Rest assured, the film is coming out and will also be available on iTunes and other online services such as Jaman, etc.

Also, the film is coming out in theaters in Canada (limited cities) on April 14, 2009. The Canadian DVD release will happen sometime between June and September.

The film is also coming out in Russia (!) although the dates aren't clear yet... A few other deals are in motion with a few more countries, but no news yet on the UK, where I know we have a lot of fans.

I will also be offering a Blu-Ray edition of the film directly through our website since the distributors do not have immediate plans for such a release, although they have shown an interest in doing such a release, in a year or 18 months... (something about the complicated on-going changes happening to Blu-Ray licensing, industry-wide...). Our Blu-Ray version should be available late this summer.

Thank you all for being so patient! The film business has been going trough very tough changes over the last 2 years because of piracy, dramatic worldwide decline in DVD sales and, mainly, the very promising-yet-not-figured-out-yet era of online streaming /rental /purchase. Your TV will be plugged onto the internet in the next 5 to 10 years and it will make life a lot easier for small movies to be released everywhere...

Excellent news, thank you.

And I will certainly be interested in the Blu-Ray.

However I am in the UK, so if possible can you ensure its not region coded.

I believe its only Fox/Sony which region code their Blu-Rays but figured it was worth raising to ensure I can watch it when I import it from the US.
