IMDb rating screwed up? This is a wonderful film!

I don't know how IMDb comes up with their user rating, but if you look at the breakdown, you'll see that a few old people gave it really low ratings while most everyone else seems to have loved it. I hate that someone might miss this film because of this flawed system. Thanks to the reviewers for giving such meaningful praise to such a worthy film.

If you are in Tucson and thinking of seeing this tonight (as it finishes up the AZ Film Festival), this has to be the best film I've ever seen at the festival, so definitely go.

Maybe it's because us old fogies saw absolutely nothing original in this film whereas viewers with little cinema experience may say "like wow" :)

It was a juvenile movie, with juvenile actors, with juvenile issues pretending to be 'all grown-up'. I found this desperately boring. Considering all the other great small films coming from young Quebec directors lately, this one pales. ( Sorry to say that Françcois, I see you visit this board.) But I'm being honest.

The female character was grating to an extreme and the male protagonist was severely passive, their story is completely unreal and contrived. Heterosexuals, especially one in already in a relationship don't go around sleeping (platonically) in each others' bed, kissing each other on the lips, etc and then be so naive as to think OH SURPRISE, the kiss went too far. There is a fine line between naivete and stupidity. These characters clearly crossed that line.

I gave it a 4/10 for good cinematography, music, and what seem to be good production values.

***So I've seen 4 movies/wk in theatre for a 1/4 century, call me crazy?**

And here I thought I was the only one who found Allison intolerable.

I found that the film was essentially in the perspective of Wes, thus we saw Allison as he saw her. Based on what I saw, I could not see what it is he loved about her. Her self-righteous, thrill-seeking, egocentric ways were, as you say, grating. Part of this could be issues with the script, acting, and/or directing, but the chemistry was not happening for me.

Which is a shame, because I feel like this could have been a good film.

I completely agree. I just watched this for the first time tonight, and her character really bothered me. (I was wondering if it was the actress but I've never seen her an anything else.) I also, didn't find her interesting nor appealing.

I agree, this is one of the best and well acted films for quite some time, you fall in love with the characters, and understand their predicament, and all done tastefully tooSource:Movie Reviews - All the days before tomorrowhttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2009/09/movie-reviews-for-all-the-days -before-tomorrow

Everyone has different tastes; I tend to dislike ratings and reviews. I refuse to read reviews before seeing a movie because I want to experience the film for what it is, now what other people think of it.

I really enjoyed this film, but I refuse to compare movies to each other. I was at the mall the other day and there was a line around the move theater for Fast Five. I was in shock thinking how can so many people enjoy a 5th car racing movie… but it got great reviews. Action films are not my thing; I like quirky different movies and All The Days Before Tomorrow was great. thanks Netflix.
