If Andy Loved Nancy Why he left ?

In thepenultimate episode nancy try to stop Andy they kinda even get hooked up but still andy leaves ? Why

He knew she would never truly have romantic love for him. She needs him, but she doesn't love him. He needs to be away from her to find peace.

Agreed, she needed him way more then he needed her. He loved her indefenatly and would do anything for her, but that was never going to be how she felt about him. He could never truly commit to someone else with her in his life, she would always be his #1 unless he could get over her with separation. I know the feeling, I have had to make that break before, even though it appears as everything you want. One of the hardest things to learn and accept.

It was so sad. When she cried when he left and again when they talked at the end of the finale.

Nancy only hooked up with him because she wanted to use him. She was incapable of loving him. And he knew that he had to leave her to be truly happy.

In the finale of the series Nancy felt that she would be alone . . . .but Andy convinced her that this was not the case. Yes, Andy loved Nancy and in her own way she loved him, but it was not the same, and Andy always knew that. Also, he was in a relationship and had a daughter.

Its interesting to me how everyone says Nancy only likes having Andy around because she likes to use him forget that Andy only showed up because he had nowhere else to go. He used her for a place to stay and hung around when she found out she was selling dope.

And furthermore, Andy is the brother of her DEAD husband who as far as we know is the only man she has ever loved the entire series. So it might be pretty hard for her to "be with him" romantic. Its kind of creepy that Andy is practically stalking his brothers widow the entire series if you think about it.
