South Africa: Murder and Rape capital of the world...

....but I doubt the makers of Goodbye Bafana will find the time to stop bashing "racist" and "backwards" white folks for a minute or two to document South Africa's decline into sheer barbarism in the post-Apartheid era. The statistics are staggering. Even many black South Africans think they were better off under the old regime.

So, shed a tear for poor Mandela, since the liberal do-gooders ignore the murders and rapes of both white and black people in the "new and improved" South Africa. The liberals cried with a loud voice for the end of Apartheid but, unbelievably, they fell silent on the killings of thousands of white folks there. Mmmmmm?

The rumor has it that once Nelson Mandela finally dies, the blacks will unleash genocide upon the White South Africans left in the country. Let's see if that movie ever gets made.

A rumour, no doubt, perpetuated by the likes of you! Violence, mainly due to ignorance, is still a consequence of denying generations of South Africans the dignity of a decent education or being treated as equals. No-one in their right mind could expect to wipe out the wrongs of the past within a decade or so. The last all-white election in South Africa - the referendum to allow non-whites the vote - was only held about 15 years ago. I know, because it was the first time I voted. I know enough people like you, some in my own family, to have a very clear idea of where the hate-mongering really comes from.

Interesting, you say that, but look at Zimbabwe, Mugabe has now got rid of all whites in his country simply for the fact that they were white. The White government made Zimbabwe a good, prosperous country, and the black government *beep* it up (dont even try denying it or defending it).
We all know that Mbeki hates whites, and is already putting the white community in SA under pressure to give up land etc.. he denied the levels of crime ripping SA apart, and has stayed out of the Zimbabwe conflict because he secretly supports Mugabe's dream of ridding Africa of whites.
The white genocide in SA will surely be attempted, the black governement will ignore the fact that white farmers actually feed nearly all of SA. And no doubt, the west will do nothing because its seen as 'reverse colonialism' and is thus politically correct, and so we can say good bye to a once beautiful, prosperous country that the whites built.

everyone stop making this about race again...that was the problem in the first place!!!! this is not abou race.....the problem is that the mplementation of gov policy in south africa has been slow and proved much more difficult then even they thought! the problem they face is a huge number of black people in their 30s and 40s who have no eduation due to the apartheid regime....how do u get them into work with no education??who would employ them??such a huge number of homeless people....what do u do with them? theyv tried build housing but its impossible to house all these people! see what ur missing is that the crime in south africa is very much a knife and fork issue....if they dnt have a job and cant afford to live then they have no choice! ur so ignorant in ur comments....but i have to admit that throughout the last 10 years all i have heard from my afrikaans family back home is how Thabo is going to get them when Mandela dies....but lets get real....south africa is more developed then Zimbabwe and it jst aint gna happen. until south africa keeps hold of the proffessional people they train insted of letting them leave to the uk, atempt to get more people into work through public works schemes and basically spread the wealth! until this wealth gap is made smaller im afraid there is always going to be alot of violence and crime.

and just to comment.....im annoyed about zimbabwe....im in london and the uk is more thenhappy to support a war in Iraq which is absolutely ridiculous....WHY DIDNT THEY GO INTO ZIMBABWE U ASK!....well its simple....THERE ISNT MILLIONS OF OUNDS WORTH OF OIL....nuff sed

Actually... South Africa is has the second hifghest murder rate (per Capita) in the world. Columbia holds the trophy for THE MURDER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD... Per capita

Nothing has really changed in South Africa, just that whites lived in their own little bubble. Now that apartheid is over they live in the same world as blacks and no longer have the special priviledges they did under the apartheid regime.

Why do you think so many of them left!?

please stop. Don't ever suggest that people where better off under the Apartheid system! my dad wasted 2 years of his life in the Air force, because of the manipulation of the NP propaganda. e.g the Red scare and the black scare. All bollocks!!

And

do you think it's right not to let a woman vote because she's black? or to refer to a 64 year old black man as 'boy' ?? that's one of the many things wrong with Apartheid. I'm glad i was born in 1989 and don't remember any of that *beep* I'm glad I went to a great multicultural school. I'm glad i can be friends with anyone I choose and they can all vote with me in the upcoming 2009 elections. I'm grateful for the friendship i have with my best friend, for I know under apartheid it would be impossible for us to know each other.

I know Murder and rape is a HUGE problem in South Africa, but lets not blame this on one race group. For white and coloured people murder and rape in South Africa too. this is not just a black problem, it is our entire nation's problem. Poverty and our society structure all contribute to our high crime/murder rate.

I'm pretty sure there's not going to be a genocide when Mandela dies. He really does not have an active role in government anymore. last time I check, it was not really cool to be racist in South Africa, most white people are lying pretty low, trying not to be labeled as one

When they say that the apartheid government was much better than the one they have now, it makes me angry, very angry, because just like nazi germany it was only prosperous due to the blood and sweet of a people who were left out of their country`s policies. Nazi germany only rose up from their economic meltdown because they stole no; just took by force the money from most ethinic minorities, the money, the teeth, the jewelry and the blood from them. Slavery is always economicaly sound. If white SAs are scared now it is because of apartheid, not a black government. Crime was hidden fromn suburban life in aprtheid in the shanty towns now it is democratic, ust like any democracy, that is the beauty of democracy we are always all in the same boat, we either fix it together or the boat sinks.

And if (unlikely) they start killing white people in SA through a black apartheid well then the world will obviously go against it.
