20 years in the future, I bet Derek's a loser

Maybe it's 'different strokes', but I find Derek Venturi unlovable. Likeable, yeah, but he's too smarmy/smartass that I believe he has a heart, but his persona is a stone fortress to explore. Always has been. 20 years in the future (2030, 20 years after the series ends), karma & COMMON SENSE caught up w/ Derek. A nearly 40, Derek still lives at home... albeit in the basement "apt."; maybe on welfare. He's fat, bald & out of shape. That's LWD.

I actually forget what he's like. An absentee daddy? That'd probably be Derek without Casey or parental intervention.
