this title sounds like a spagetti western. i happened to understand that katey sagal and peter falk would have main parts, and as i started watching, the credits went on and they didn't show til last, so that took a bit of fun out right there, but i was totally hooked after katey sagals entrence. first he dissappear, then her the grandaughter, that family dissappears alote. i noticed how nice she was in the store to the worker, after being mean to the girl earlier, and didn't she (sagal) seem awfully short in the store? i think there should be some warning lable on this movie though, that it may cause mental scars - i'm talking about the part where columbo is dressed as a woman. that was new, at first i thought there was him talking somewhere while they had the camera shot on a woman. then later he's in a police uniform, anyone not knowing the story might wonder what he was up to. hallmark material this. but i wish katey sagal had a bigger part, that would have kept me hooked throughout, i started losing attachment when the "hallmark family drama" took over. seemed a while that falk and sagal where mostly to advertise the movie.

i didn't stay away long enough,
here i thought you had shapen up,
wonder why the good thing had to go,
nothing around here is like i remember it once before,
i slipped away for a while,
you were so lovely at one time,
and as i come back to it all,
guess i had a picture a bit too old,
might as well pass right through,
i got nothing here to pick up at you,
nothing like it once was,
i won't keep on in this rot,
of this deal i've had enough,
but guess i'll soon be back again,
in lack of gold of yesterday.

Are you serious or kidding about mental scars when peter Falk dresses as a woman? What granddaughter?
