I'm curious, exactly what disd Grout know and about who? In the recordings he talks about hearing voices revealing the thoughts and secrets of others, and that one person in particular has some very dark secret.
I'm guessing it's about the prince if he's really the one who had him killed.

Grout was a Malkavian.
This meant that he had visions of the future and could see what was coming. The problem is, due to the Malkavian insanity, it didn't come out as a vision or anything usefull, it come out as voices wispering to him.
The princes problem is that, the other vampires know that while being nuts, Malkavians can see the future and would put stock in his "mad" ramblings....
If you haven't already, replay the game as malkavian. Theres some great lines and you can get a better idea of grout
