No longer the dog of the franchise
Thank you T.G.
shareTS was never the dog.
shareI still think Salvation is the worst Terminator film.
shareI still think T4 is the weakest link in the series
shareStill the uncontested dog of the franchise, and I do not have the imagination to grasp if this would change. The mere existance fo this movie deducts from the legacy of the others: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438488/reviews-821
T5 is better, and sort of gets us back on track, although it messes things up a bit.
BRETTSURFER sooooo wrong genisys is the only dog salvation was a great film they gave us our future our war life in post nuke war wrapped up all kinds of questions anyone who tries to say this movie was anything less then very well done and gives it no less than 7 is not a true fan and has not seen any other future apocalypse type movies there r a hell of a lot and I mean tons of horsedung apocalyptic movies and this is great if u r one of the so called fans which I doubt U probably think terminator starts in T2 if u were alive in 1982 when this whole thing started nuke warfare was a actual real possibility terminator 1 was soooo far ahead of its time back then hell the best home pcs were commadotre 64 k and yes that's 64 kbits not mega or giga or tera u children most things were stiil paper and filing cabinets hell for all u youngsters there was no such thing as cellphones until about 87 and then it only worked in big citys and cost about 5 dollars per minute plus a 50 dollar per month fee for just having a active phone no mins no such thing as text or internet which only became useful in 03 before that there were no search engines like google so u pretty much had to know every http url u wanted to find anything it took a hour just to find somrthing that was barely half decenthell texting on cell phones is a post 02 thing most ordinary peeps did not have cells till 04-05 so all u 20 something youngsters should feel lucky before that u all would be screwed I bet most of u under 24 don't even know how to find info without internet good luck if any big shi! really hits the metaphorical fan like emp or loss of cell and internet anyone under 30 would be ionstantly 50 points less in I. Q.
sharePersonally I find T3 to be the weakest with Genisys included in the list. For me it goes :
T2
T1
Salvation
Genisys
T3
Note: This was upon re-watches before and after Genisys came out.
Can't wait for Duchovny and Anderson to reprise their roles!! #2016
^That would be my list also
shareLate, but yes, same for me as well. :)

Yes, that reprisal worked out so well.
shareSorry to burst your bubble but Terminator 3 is the lowest entry.
shareI said this on another thread, but I'll repeat it here;
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
The Terminator
Terminator Genisys
Terminator Salvation
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
There are no bad Terminator movies. There are just ones that don't measure up to the very high bar set by the first 2. T2 is a 10 for me. T1 a 9. TG an 8. And TS and T3 both 7s, with TS being a slightly stronger 7. Even the weaker entries of the franchise still have some very cool action scenes.
Salvation and Genisys are the polar opposites of the franchise - in style that is. While Salvation took itself way too seriously despite the thin story, Genisys felt like a parody.
Death solves all problems. - Stalin
Genisys was actually worse than T3 for what it's worth -
T1
TS
T2
T3
TG
In that order..
I still think it is the worst terminator movie. T1 and T2 are perfect. T3 is a 7,5/10 for me because of the remote control TX stuff and the face she makes and growling when she dies.
what is good about T3 is:
-claire danes. She's a bit like sarah connor in T1. A good actress who is believable in her emotions. T5 and T4 don't have a character like that. everyone is "badass"
-although it is filled with "jokes" for stupid friday night cinema goers who came to see ahnuld do stupid things like wear funny glasses and say "talk to the hand", it also has dark moments like poor John Connor who had a sad youth after his mother died, Kate Brewster who loses her fiance and father and that judgement day is inevitable.
T3 will never be as good as T2, but it's still an enjoyable movie.
I watched Salvation yesterday for the first time in six years and was still disappointed.
- They basically tell us in the beginning what will happen to Marcus' body, because we read on a sticker it will go to Cyberdyne
- A giant terminator with motorcycles in his feet with strange robot sounds. our heroes escape in a truck and a giant terminator is on a bridge, but luckily they brake and a motorcycle terminator flies into the air to destroy the big terminator. WTF?!
- A t800 that behaves very different from all the other movies. It doesn't want to kill JC but throws him around. It can bend metal and punch trough walls, but a human neck is a real struggle. WTF!
- Skynets computers are very human friendly with keyboards and english screens.
- The whole movie looks like the makers didn't watch the previous terminator movies. I want a blueish half destroyed city where the humans are slowly winning but Skynet is beginning to use infiltration terminators like Arnold or maybe female types like TX (being a beautiful woman can maybe get you inside the resistant's walls)
It's been a while since I saw Genisys.
I left there with a feeling that it was like T3, but worse.
They make silly "jokes". Kyle Reese is an *beep* instead of a hero. Everyone is busy trying to say one-liners. T1000 isn't really scary. Anyway I liked it better than Salvation but it's choosing between 4/10 and 5/10. You can't even compare it to T1 and T2. you can compare it to T3, but for me that one wins easily
