I Am in Miami Beach on vacation this month and i had the opportunity to see the film being done at the beach. It was exciting to see all the actors. I was able to see the seen were the guys first arrive in miami beach and there getting off the bus and cant believe what there seeing ( The Girls on Rollerblades) I seen Ozzie Davis that day Thursday when he got back from lunch he was walking around and he was looking very tired and he sat down in his chair which was within reaching distance to me. Then they shot the scenes and they packed up for the day. I did get a chance to speek to Limo Tom who was on the set and we were discussing how good ozzie looked for 87. It was so nice to beable to see these guys in action. Limo Tom was saying that they had to come back to Miami Beach on Wednsday night 02/9/05 to shoot the scene were there at Mangos Tropical Cafe it was to be a night scene. Well I dont know what there going to do now. I wole up Friday morning and i could not believe what i was hearing that they found Ozzie dead in his hotel room at 7am. I just could not believe it. I was looking at him less than 1 day ago filming a movie and having fun. Well here is to you Ozzie your a great person and you will be missed by many... I hope the movie can go forward from here but they will never find another Ozzie..

I saw the scene were the men are getting off the bus on the news in Atlanta and I thought to myself the same thing, that Mr. Davis looked a little tired, but I believed it was just the acting.

The news was very sad. I admired the work of Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. Words can not express how I feel, of his talent.

Hi spirong! I was at Miami Beach on the same day as you and i also saw Ozzie Davis. I agree with you i thought that he looked very tired but i couldn't believe it when i heard that he was dead the next morning. Very Sad.
