I was camping there on Sat 19th with a herd of Cub Scouts.
The boys got to see an exciting car chase near the visitor center. They also got talk to the stunt men.
They said they drove one of their red mustangs off a cliff yesterday.
There was an accident as the cars came down the hill. It will be interesting to see
if the scene will end up in the movie.
The stunt man was not hurt.
My Boy Scout Troop took a trip up to Valley of Fire on March 18th through the 20th. On Saturday we went to Seven Sisters and went climbing on the rocks as they were filming the cop and mustang scene. So when the movie comes out, we can say, we were there... right behind those rocks. It was pretty cool. We also drove up to Mouses Tank and had to wait about 20 minutes for a tow truck to pull the stunt cop car out of the ditch. Cant wait to see the movie!
shareLuckily the stunt man we used was not hurt in that scene! This was not planned nor is it in the film.He can came around the corner alittle to hot in the scene,lost the back end an ended up on his roof an down a small cliff! The scene of the mustang goin off the cliff WILL be in the film but with a slight twist!
