I used to live in Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, etc in California and drove to Salton Sea for some 'interesting weekends' in the mid 60's. Just found this DVD and have not watched it yet but the cover brings back old memories.
2 days later - So I did watch it and it was sooooo funny. I liked several of the extras like the "Miracle in the Desert" and "LSD a go-go". Glad my memories of it are the boating, fishing and beach parties. Certainly not the eco-nightmare it has become.

I went to the Salton Sea lots of times in the 60's with my Grandparents. I remember it as a great place to swim, fish and camp. In the 70's we started going to the Kern river. Know I know why. What a shame this has happened to such a fun place with a lot of memories from my childhood.
