All that huff about a little bag of ecstasy???????????

I’m no drug dealer but I am a young adult and know the scene and a bag of ecstasy like that could only contain around 100-200 tablets amounting to nothing more then 200-400 dollars get rich quick my ass what a load of balls.

reply

yeh, totally agree with you on that.
just came here to make that point myself.
BTW, i think it was 500 pops.
it would've made much more sense if it were like a suitcase full of *beep*

how much does one pop cost anyway??

reply

Agreed. 500 pills is nothing. I was wondering why they thought it was such a big deal too. It seems it was like a film about drug pushers made by someone who had never been involved in the drug world.
In UK you get 1000 for about 50p to £2 each, sell for anything from £3 to £5 each. The only reason I saw for them to get so excited about finding that bag was that it may eventually get them into the drugs crowd and then make alot of money from continually selling. That what I told myself anyway, to add a bit of reality to it.
And no I'm not a drug pusher, just informed.

haha exactly what i was thinking throughout the whole movie. this movie was sooo cliche and so over acted and over dramatic all over a few hundred rolls. and these guys are supposed to be "rich white boys" then they acted like a few hundred dollars was a big deal. i too was wondering what the big deal was about the freakin bag of pills

reply

Once they get involved they continue to get more pills...and sell more.

reply

each pill was worth $20 and there were 500 pills. $10,000 is a lot. Otto's character gave them more pills anyway....

Last party I went to the conversation went something like this:

Me: How much for 5?
Dealer: It's 10 for £8.
Me: I only want 5.
Dealer: Well you can have 5 for £8 then...

Mind you they're not as good as they were in the late 80's/early 90's, back then 1 would last you all night and half the next day but they would cost you £15 each, these days they're weak and cut with speed (I only do it a couple of times a year so it's nothing to do with tolerance).

Does it really matter how much was really in the bag? All's that matter's to me is that it's a great film with great acting for those of you who say otherwise. That's my opinion & the opinion of everyone I know who has seen it.

in the us, it's very different, e pills for those who don't have hookups cost 20 dollars, also if you have more than a single pill, it becomes intent to sell.

reply

Seriously the amounts they were talking about were ludicrous. You gotta sell a lotta E to get rich. It would have made more sense if it was legal pharmaceuticals like Oxycontin or something. Obviously a movie written by someone who drinks hot tea and eats jelly sandwiches on the weekend. There hasn't been an accurate depiction of drugs use in a film since Trainspotting.

reply

The whole movie I kept thinking why these guys thought they were going to get rich, obviously, selling 500 pills would make them 5k which is nice and at the end they said he owed them 50k so they must have bought more but this is not Henry Hill selling coke you cant get rich off selling pills in the clubs.
