Who's Your Favorite Kid?

I liked Zeb, black, crooked teeth, very mature.
Also Michael, white, short, danced with the giant girl, says cute things.

reply

I liked Tara, who seems like she has the will-power to actually become a professional entertainer one day, and I also like Michael, who reminded me of Paul Giamatti a bit. The kid who looked like Artie Garfunkle (Cyrus) was also cool, and I'd like him to design my next house. The girl who did the "swing" number, Karina, was very gifted, too. In fact, all of the kids in the movie are an inspiration; if there are more kids like them, I will stop fearing for the future.

reply

I liked Emma alot, and the girl that did the Rhumba, and also the little boy that didn't speak any english.

reply

I liked the girl Michelle. The one who didn't focus on school until the dancing competition. I thought she was nice and cheered the kids on, like when she screamed, "Come on, Attitude!" And who couldn't enjoy Wilson? He was amazing. All of the children were great, and I enjoyed the movie a lot.

reply

Me too! I loved Emma, Rumba girl, Walter (fabulous), Zeb and Tara--oh and of course that kid who played fooseball!

reply

walter?

reply

My favorite was Karina doing the Swing and Wilson and Elsmelys doing the Rumba The swing girl is AMAZING!

reply

Emma, Karina, Elsamely, and wilson

reply

I thought Wilson was a very good dancer and was really cute, especially with those pretty hazel eyes!

If that ain't love then I don't know what love is.

reply

I am in awe of them all, but my favorites are Wilson and Esalmayls. They are minuture professionals!

reply

uh wilson hands down do we even need to consider the issue

tara kind of annoyed me, not gonna lie

i also liked nile

reply

Wilson was the kid that didn't speak English, right? Oh man, he was awesome. I couldn't take my eyes off him and his partner dancing! (the partner was really good too... even the judges were laughing about it, what an attitude!!)

Metatron: You people! If there isn't a movie about it, it's not worth knowing about, is it?

WILSON, no doubt. Best little dancer of the whole thing. Zeb was good as well.

reply

I just loved them all. There was not a child that didn't win my heart completely.

reply

wilson, wilson's partner & Tara & emma

reply

Cyrus gave the two funniest lines in the movie (the one about the grain of sand, and talking about his job aspirations). He was so serious. I also found Emma to be a very sensible kid. And that Wilson guy just danced with such poise. He was awesome.

I thought al the kids were amazing! Whenever they talked my face lit up immediately, and I just felt so much for each and every single one of them! i loved Wilson, I thought he was gorgeous, and he truly showed that just because you can't speak the same language as your peers doesn;t mean you can't be their friends. I thought Cyrus, was such a little cutie and ZEb. And the girls were stunning...i loved them all!!

reply

WILSON!!! WILLLSOOON!!!!!!!

It was ME! I was the turkey ALL ALONG!
You always said how you lucky you were that we were all friends...but it was us, baby, who were the lucky ones.

Oh, I loved them all!!! I just wanted to jump in the screen and give them all hugs! I absolutely loved all the girls from Washington Hts. They were so sweet and awesome dancers for being so young... they blew me away! I also loved Wilson... again, what a dancer! And boy was he a cutie... I also really liked Emma and Tara. They seemed so smart and well-spoken for their ages, I couldn't believe it! And of course, Michael and Niles and Zeb and that litte group... and....

reply

argh, I can't remember any of the kids names.....but I liked the kid who went up to the judge after his team lost and asked what they did wrong. After the judge tried to explain the scoring system to him he still shook his head very sadly and said, "I still don't understand..." He was so adorable!!!

XMAS is almost here....check out www.giftlinx.com

reply

OMG, I forgot about that little boy who took issue with the scoring system. I can see him as Mayor of New York City someday (or at least Public Advocate if that position still exists). He was such a serious little man.

Tara was my favorite. She really seemed to be good at swing dancing and those glasses looked so cute on her. She really wanted it too.

There were a few girls whose names I didn't catch who were amazing at the end.
Especially the Indigo girls. And I loved all the swing girls.

I felt sorry for Michael, who had to dance with a girl that was as he said "as big as an adult" before the competition started. She *did* tower over him.

"Oh, Stewardess! I speak jive."

reply

i loved michael! and the really good kid who couldn't speak english. i loved this movie!

Man that Jozsef kid or however you spell it was funny. He had that 'when you start growing hair in weird places and stuff' line. That was hilarious.

reply

WILSON was cooler, and Cyrus, but Jozsef was also cool. I couldn't get enough of their Long Island accents.

reply

does anybody know what is the name of the girl who dances in front of the mirror a lot when she is at home? ... i'm pretty sure she aspires to be a professional entertainer when she gets older

reply

Her name is Tara...I really liked Jozef, the way he explained the oddities of puberty were so funny. too bad not much of this character was developed in the film.

reply

Michael and Tara for their personalities. And all of them when they danced.

If you watch the film again, listen carefully to the scene where the emotional teacher holds a discussion in class about the "loss" with the students and asks how the feel about it. If you listen very carefully you will here the best line of the film. Cyrus says: "I'm Indginant" (angry at something unjust or unworthy). And when Cyrus us arguing with the judge, telling him he just doesn't understand what happened, it's hilarious. Quite precocious that Cyrus is. He's my fave.

reply

cyrus was the best he was so funny he reminded me of christopher guest!!
he was brilliant.

the best dancer was wilson he was so adorable! and michael was great too i loved his part during the credits talking about love and marraige and his friends are laughing saying "thats beautiful!

it was such a brilliant film!

i love the rain - it washes memories off the sidewalks of life!!!

reply

Yes Wilson is the man! What i love about the movie is that it was soo Real!
I felt like i've seen most of those kids before. Maybe cuz their from the same race, but some looked soo much like some of my classmates when I was that age.

One of my favorite girls was Amber, the one who said "No, im not in the mood for boys, maybe later... im in the mood for school, family." LOLOL

reply

I thought the little girl on the cover was really cute. She danced the tango at the final competition. Does anyone know what her name is?

The boy that didn't speak english and emma and tara were really cute too.

reply

[deleted]

That was Jatnna! She is awesome! She did the Tango and the final merenge for the trophie. My favourite bit of the movie is where she does the first turn of that merenge and one of the judges looks so blown away because she's doing it with such conviction and love. You can see how much she loves it in her face. Her and her partner were awesome. You could tell they just knew they and their team were awesome. Wilson and Elsamelys doing the rumba is also a highlight. Cyrus is hilarious and possibly plotting to take over the world. Emma I want to be my friend. I loved her line about women being a superior civilization. The kid who talks about having to wash 2 times a day is also hilarious. All the Washington Heights team I'm just completely in love with. The boy who does the swing is really good. I think he's the best boy after Wilson. The partners all seem so well suited. Kelvin and Angie(is it?) are so sweet and kind of quieter, Jatnna and her partner are like 'that's right we're here and we rock'(I love where they're rehearsing and she keeps trying to make him hold his arm up higher) and Elsamelys and Wilson and the ones who do it with the most heart and attitude. They were just so much better than the other teams at the rumba. They were just like two cuban people on the street. I love it. I LOVE the clip over the credits where one of Michaels friends is like 'it's so beautiful', that little group are so funny.
