The dominican kids were always going to win. They have rythym in their blood. They are born with it. Their posture and dancing was superb! And the teacher had picked the best outifits for the girls and wow did those girls have great figures for their age. They were all quite mature. The other girls wore party dresses that didnt look good.

Umm.. No, sorry... I teach in the Dominican Republic and there are many of our kids who definitely don't have dancing "in their blood". But, dancing is a huge part of the culture here. So it's likely that many of the kids in the film grew up hearing the music (at least merengue and rumba) and seeing the dancing (although there, mainly only merengue). And dancing is valued, for boys as well as girls. I was glad to see those kids win. I definitely wasn't convinced they were going to, even at the end.

Many kids did well or how else did they make it to the finals? Also, this was a yearly thing, not just that year.

I know right, such an ignorant thing to say. If anything I think when your parents or family aren't originally from America, your just more competitive. Especially with that female teacher (I didn't like her) they were definitely disciplined enough to win.
