when the teacher was talking about how her students are going to grow up to be great individuals, and then she starts crying? I found that scene to be really moving. Anyone else think scene was moving and somewhat sad? Surprisingly, some people in my theater were actually laughing! Gosh some people are so ignorant.

I agree with you. It is a very sentimental moment for a teacher who cares so deeply about his/her students. As a ballroom teacher myself, I do get very attached to my kids, and I know they get very attached to me as well. There's something very special about seeing the students that one teaches do so well in handling themselves, while demonstrating the skills that they've been learning.
It was a very nice moment. Her love and pride for her students is worn on her sleeve and it makes for good storytelling!
