Did anyone actually go to a school like that?

Where a girl is bullied and ostracized for getting pregnant in high school?
I mean really? I never understood that.
Those girls (her sister included) were soo quick to call her a slut the second they found out she had a baby, yet didn't think too much about the fact that they were all having sex with multiple partners.

I started high school in 2009 which was around the time 16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom started exploding. Now with those shows, I can't help but think that it seems like girls are competing to get a pregnant. Getting pregnant is no longer a "slutty" thing to do, but something glorified.

I started high school in 2009, too. During my freshman year, there was a girl who was about 6 months pregnant--and she was in my grade and about 15 years old (Maybe even 14). No one really made fun of her, but people were shocked. I remember my friends and I actually crowding around the door and looking in through the window on it so we could get a glimpse of her huge stomach.

The year this movie came out was the year I graduated, 2005. Things really do change really fast though, like for example bullying is at an all time high where I went to school, but went I was in school no one bullied anyone like that.

I don't remember people treating pregnant girls like that in my school, but they could have. I never treated them any differently than anyone else. People would talk but not like the girls in the movie did, I remember people would talk more about the slutty girls than the pregnant ones.
